Set in the heart of Mayfair, Dover Street serves up French and Mediterranean fare to the beat of deliciously soulful jazz music. A cool neon blue frontage welcomes customers into the restaurant’s elegant wooden dining room, while a modish blue and black bar broods upstairs. Its reputation as a jazz lovers’ favourite is confirmed by the dance floor, where shapes are shifted into the early hours.



A gaggle of two, four or eight gourmands begin their Dover Street experience armed with a spoon to delve into the soup course, with fragrant French onion soup a popular option to warm hearty hearts. Relevés offer light relief before a choice of main course that  includes roast best end of lamb served with aubergine caviar and Lyonnaise potatoes, and four cheese ravioli for vegetarians. Great food. Scallops for starters, lamb for main a chocolate mousse/cake to die for for dessert. The band playing afterwards were pretty good too and played a variety of jazz/blues/funk/rock. [sic]
