This 19th century town house occupies a beauty spot on the green and unfurling highland scenery of Pitlochry. Immersed in wild countryside, Acarsaid Hotel & Lodge keeps guests in homely comfort with individually-decorated rooms and a restaurant with a passion for local produce and their own recipe sausages. A spattering of Scottish whisky distilleries lie within good reach of the hotel, whose own drinks list traverses a wide style of drinking glass, with single malts and local ales happily accompanying international wines.
Welcomed into temporary abodes with a bottle of Champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries, couples can begin their highland hideaway. The en suite rooms are well-appointed with TV and a refreshment tray, while many have postcard views. One afternoon will be given over to the decadence of high tea, as a carefully-selected array of finger sandwiches, homemade scones, cakes and cream and jam are washed down with dainty gulps of Hettie's loose leaf tea. The morning's feast offers a slew of breakfasting options, from the full English, to homemade jams, and syrupy pancakes for those who want a sweet tooth.
TripAdvisors rated the Acarsaid Hotel a well-appointed 4/5 stars, while 74% of LateRoomers would stay there again. Plenty of compliments have been paid for the hotel’s convenient location, hearty breakfast and helpful staff. A few guests felt the furnishing to be a bit tired.
A great central location for all activities, sightseeing, touring and shopping. Full Scottish Breakfast is excellent, and food is really good in restaurant.

The room was adequately furnished with tea/coffee making facilities and the bathroom looked like it was recently refurbished. The choice at breakfast time was excellent and the service was very quick despite them being very busy.
