Sweetly placed in the city centre, The Bath Chocolate Museum is delicately sprinkled with chocolate making courses and works closely with UK charity The Cocoa Bond to help improve the lives of farmers and communities in West Africa. Lead by master chocolatier Philippe Wall, the hands-on and practical chocolate workshops are available for groups of friends, families, and candy-loving little ones.
After indulging in a seriously chocolatey afternoon tea, with a selection of sandwiches, a Minerva chocolate cake, hand-crafted chocolates and a hot chocolate drink (£8.89), sugar-coated souls will learn the secrets behind the sweet treat with a one hour workshop (£20). Under the expert guidance of the chocolatier, the session will delve into a brief history of the confectionary, before moving on to chocolate-tasting and chocolate-making, with the latter covering tabling, tempering, crystallising, enrobing, and dipping techniques. At the end of the afternoon, all hand-made creations will be available to take home and devour at leisure.
