Nursery rhyme postulates that Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet, eating her curds and whey, however the actual story - hush-hushed by her publicist - was that she sat on a buffet, and was sent away in disgrace by the manager. Avoid a scandal with today's Groupon: £12.99 for Japanese teppanyaki buffet for two at Ginza (£25.98 Value).

A relatively new kid on the Lisburn lunching and dinnering scene, Ginza are the first restaurant in the city to offer teppanyaki-style cooking, whereby food is freshly flash-cooked on a hot plate before the customers' eyes. Named after the world famous Ginza district in Tokyo, one of the city’s most luxurious shopping areas, this restaurant allows its customers to hark Eastwards and awaken their inner Harajuku girl. Head chef Chris Kwan has worked at restaurants in London, and as well as a wide range of over fifty dishes, he has concocted some superb drinks specifically for the Ginza menu.

Groupon Japanophiles can bow down to Ginza for a buffet experience for two. With traditional types of curry, sushi, and teppanyaki dishes available, there are dishes to suit meat eater and vegetarians, and all spice thresholds. Whether or not you’ve ever bento a Japanese restaurant before, maki time to head down to Ginza for fabulous new tastes and a unique culinary experience.

Reviews

Although reviews of the new buffet menu have been mixed, customers have consistently mentioned the friendly service and helpful staff, as well as the decor.

The staff were fantastic, as I needed a lot of advice as to what to choose, they were more than happy to oblige, and have even given me some hints for dishes to try of future visits. Drinks were brought quickly and before we finished someone always came to ask if we wanted more without having to be called over.
Christine S, Yelp

The enviroment was clean and comfortable, though initially we had been sat down the back, where lighting was quite poor. I had spotted a comfy window seat, and asked can we move to it. The staff accomodated this without any fuss.
