Taking a classy stance on speedy sights, Drumbo Park offers an elegant haven for racing aficionados and first-time punters alike. The stadium treats guests to cosy views with indoor seating, while those looking to be on the cusp of the action can also hedge their bets outdoors and have hair swept by quick-legged breezes. The centre pleases culinary connoisseurs with Irish fare including smoked pork loin and slow-roasted shoulder of Co. Armagh lamb, all washed down with an extensive range of beers, cocktails, and wines.
Striding into the speed citadel, pairings or quartets can don their thinking caps and prepare wagers as 11 packs of hasty greyhounds make their way around the Drumbo Park track. Once doors have swung open at 6.30pm, guests will be greeted with a race programme each, picking their best bets out of the pack and sparking some friendly rivalries. Customers can also fuel up in the elegant surroundings, sinking teeth into a hamburger each and clinking to a successful night out with their choice of tipple.
While yet to be widely reviewed, Drumbo Park received some craic-ing comments from TripAdvisor, Google, and Wheresbest.co.uk users. Though some opinions were mixed on the service, reviewers enjoyed the stadium’s atmosphere.
While all the eating and drinking was going on we were trying to pick the winning greyhounds on the track and at the shelbourne [sic] track on the TV screens, which was great craic. I would like to point out that the staff were very attentive, friendly, informative and checked the table throughout the night to make sure that everything was alright.
