By fusing Mediterranean cuisine with chic, sun-soaked décor, the skilled hands at Hooples Restaurant silence bellies with time-tested culinary craft and innovative flavour pairings. The staff welcome diners on Belfast's style mile with dedicated service, Mediterranean inspired cuisine, and an extensive menu of early bird light bites, grilled evening meals, freshly squeezed juices, and Buck’s Fizz. Tastes of the continent are merged with classic British and Irish dishes, with homemade jams and scones sharing menu space with Serrano ham and spicy sauces, all in a wooden floored, light, and airy diner.

Platters are composed of four dinky dishes of choice from the vast and colourful menu array, including squid morsels crisped with a green and pink peppercorn crust and served with a chilli-infused dressing, or mussels with chipotle and coriander cream sauce. Platters can also come laden with burger bites, or with mini lentil stew pots or mushroom tarts. A glass of wine each is served with the platter, and pairs can keep on eating if they desire, with a 20% discount on other food.

Reviews

While yet to be widely reviewed by diners, Hooples received a positive write up in The Belfast Telegraph and currently boasts a tasty 260 Likes on Facebook.

The menu is packed with all sorts of Iberian magic. The peasant robustness of Spanish food is easily dismissed by some as limited in scope and predictable. But when you head to the Basque country or the Balearics, the Asturian coast and the the [sic] high plains of La Mancha, the food starts to make itself known. It’s not all jamon Iberico and manchego cheese. And Hooples has mined the Spanish repertoire as deeply as anyone.
