If the proof is in the pudding, and the testimony in the soup, then how on earth can a hungry jury be expected to pass unbiased verdict? Judge for yourself with today's Groupon: £16 for a two course lunch for two with glass of wine or soft drink each at Restaurant Victoria by Raymond McArdle.

Located a stones throw from Grand Opera House and Europa Hotel, this fine dining eatery is perfectly placed for theatre-goers, with a gastronomic experience courtesy of multi-award winning chef, Raymond McArdle. The holder of 3 AA Rosettes and various other accolades, Raymond introduced this chic restaurant and bar to the heart of Belfast in July of this year. Serving simple, seasonal food, Restaurant Victoria's menus are exquisitely crafted, for appreciation by discerning diners and foodie trendsters.

Fine dining lunchers can choose to enjoy a main and starter, or a main and pudding. For those keen to start, the caramelised pork hot pot ribs a l'Orientale offers a sumptuous appetite whetter; while sugary dispositions are bound to be appeased by the Menton lemon meringue cheesecake, lemongrass curd, strawberry and hibiscus. The star of the show is faithfully represented here by the crisp spiced pork, mash, apple puree, thyme jus and the smoked salmon croque-monsieur, Caesar salad. Whatever decision is made will be washed down with a thirst-abating glass of wine or soft drink for each diner.

From when we arrived, the service was excellent. We were shown to our booth which we had for the night, to check out the menu! The food was fabulous, my husband had the steak and i had the lamb both of which we would recommend.
