Under tendrils of hanging vines and marble-style walls, The Chubby Cherub serves up hearty portions of Italian cuisine from its city centre base on Arthur Street. The restaurant keeps doors open until 11pm Monday to Thursday, 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, and 10pm on Sundays.
A pair of epicureans can begin their culinary journey with a glass of wine or beer (£4.70), before each savours a pizza of choice. Options include the house special Chubby Cherub with mushrooms, pepperoni, Parma ham, and salami dressed with chilli and garlic oil (£12.95), and the old classic Margherita (£8.25). Diners were keen to praise the restaurant's interior décor and atmosphere, as well as the service. Special mentions though went to the quality and authenticity of the Italian dishes, particularly the pizza.
