Clay ovens are not to be confused with play ovens, which are only ever good for make-believe appetites and dolls house tea parties. It's game on with today’s Groupon: £15 for a Nepalese meal for two at The Everest.
Bursting with at the seams with authentic Nepalese flavours, The Everest reaches new heights from its BYOB base camp in Newtownbreda. Adventurous appetites can start the climb with poppadoms and chutney (both 90p each), to share. Reaching the next stage of the ascent, tastebuds may discover lamb tikka, chicken, and sheek kebabs joining forces in the tandoori mix, all marinated together in the clay oven for a traditional taste (£12.50). Other mains include chicken shashlik served with a trio of fried onion, green peppers, and tomato (£11.50) and the creamy sauced lamb Punjabi masala (£9.80). All mains come with a choice of rice (up to £2.05) and diners can bring their own bottle for a £2 supplement.
