Like hastily given phone numbers and ill-considered graduate theses, peppercorn sauce often ends up on a napkin. Steak out some meatier with today's Groupon from Titanic Pub and Kitchen. Choose from the following options:
• £23 for a steak dinner for two with a glass of wine each (57% Off)• £42 for a steak dinner for four with a glass of wine each (61% off)

Housed within the building where the famed vessel’s beds were built, the Titanic Pub and Kitchen is a recently refurbished eatery with more than a nod to its historical setting. Opening to celebrate the centenary of the construction of the Titanic, this newly refurbished eatery serves up a host of hearty fare near the resplendent grandeur of the Central Belfast Library. The venue’s links to times past are countered by their on-trend credentials, such as their competition winning mixologist.
A visit to this meeting point for meat eating will provide satisfying answers to meaty questions as pairs or quartets of diners tuck in to a plate piled high with grub. Primal urges will be quelled with 35 day aged Irish sirloin steak each, served with triple cooked, crunchy chips, roasted field mushrooms, and a rich pepper sauce (£26), and thirsty palates will be simultaneously quenched with a glass of wine (£3.80). Evening antics can drift into the night with 10% off all cocktails to fuel after supper debates, while veggies can be swap the steak for a cauliflower and garden pea risotto (£11).
Reviews
Titanic Pub and Kitchen has attracted some favourable press and reviews, and is rated a respectable 3.5/5 by TripAdvisors. While opinions on the consistency of presentation vary, the quality of meals and welcoming atmosphere gain high praise from reviewers.
With an eye to eating a big dinner that evening, a starter-sized (but still substantial) cauliflower and garden pea risotto is selected. Instead of a floret-filled delight the dish is made with cauliflower puree, which lends a rich and intense flavour quite unlike the experience of crunching on a cauliflower floret. A Titanic historian has been consulted in developing the new premises, and more Titanic paraphernalia will be added over time. In the meantime, my heart will go on, but my appetite's been pretty much sated.

A great place for a good meal and a cocktail or two, located behind the Belfast Telegraph building so not far from the city centre. We had a steak dinner and a fine bottle of house red along with home made lemonade all in all a good meal at a reasonable price. Will be back.
