Characterised by bright floor-to-ceiling glass windows, Ramada Birmingham City extends over modern sweeps of wood, casual lounges, and views of Birmingham's bustling entertainment district. The smell of fresh coffee lifts and spreads from the on-site cafe, while the restaurant serves more substantial fare with a focus on local ingredients. The rooms feature large beds and clean linens, some with balconies overlooking the canal.
Descend to the underwater world of Sea Life, with its colourful collection stretching from the delicate stripes of the clownfish to the muscular slink of a hammerhead shark. Spot the bowmouth guitar shark, the octopus, and the jellyfish, but don't miss the green turtle or the whiskery grin of the short-clawed otters. Back on dry land, show the children behind the scenes at the BBC Birmingham Public Space at the Mailbox, or head to the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery for a gawp at the Anglo Saxon Staffordshire hoard of gold.

The Mailbox is a great location...lots of places to eat, nice shops etc. not far from O2 academy arena and Broad St. Lovely clean, stylish hotel, check-in staff efficient. Nice room, plenty of mirrors. [sic] dncadventures (reviewing The Ramada Hotel), TripAdvisor, Jun 2012
Great sea life centre with a wonderful walk through underwater tunnel with sea turtles! The 4D cinema was as good as any i [sic] the UK and the range of animals was impressive. lily3336 (reviewing the Sealife Centre), TripAdvisor, Jun 2012
