Harnessing the raw physics of speed, weight, and sheer adrenaline, the team at Slide School Drift Academy puts the theoretical to the pedal with experience days and hair-raising passenger rides. A fleet of five cars are individually kitted-out as specification drift cars, with two adapted for teaching the art of the sport. The academy screeches and slides across eight training grounds in the country, and three of the cars have revved their engines in UK and European drift championships.
Split into practical and theory sessions, this four hour experience will get going with classroom based lesson covering handbrake skills and moves such as the doughnut and the figure of eight. Plenty of tea and coffee will be provided during the briefing to keep palates fuelled. Drivers can then take it in turns to put the wheels in motion during a practical session with at least 30 minutes' drive time and an instructor. Students can also strap into the passenger seat for a high speed lap around the full track with a pro, getting a taste of championship adrenaline along the way.
