Operating out of the cutting-edge Northwood Studio, James Beddoes is a sharp shutterbug with both a keen eye for the moment and a passion for passing on his knowledge to budding snappers. Having seen his pictures published all over the world, James has been able to build up a portfolio of striking studies and impressive imagery from his magic camera box of tricks.
The workshop will begin with students dusting off DSLRs before building the courage to switch from automatic to manual settings. Suitable for all levels, the darkest recesses of camera ignorance will be illuminated with studio lighting facts and theory, before students have a chance to apply newfound skills with a real-life model and a range of lighting set-ups. Refreshments will be available to keep energy levels high and, following the workshop, students will select an image of choice for a 10”x8” print to admire from the comfort of home. A Certificate of Excellence to display proudly on beaming mantelpieces is also provided.
