With over 16 years of experience, the highly trained ophthalmologist is well-versed in remoulding ocular orbs with LASIK eye surgery. The procedure involves surgically creating a corneal cap, which can be folded back to allow the placement of laser therapy inside the cornea. Once this has been achieved (about 20-30 seconds) the corneal flap is repositioned and it adheres to the underlying corneal substance without the need for any stitches. This quick and efficient procedure is performed under local anaesthetic with the use of numbing eye drops, and no use of needles or stitches.

Fledgling visionaries can endeavour to treat near-sightedness, far-sightedness, astigmatism, and in some cases presbyopia, with a customised LASIK procedure valid for both eyes.
