Dancers are known for their optimistic outlooks, often putting a positive spin on things and always adopting a can-can do attitude. Put best feet forward with today's Groupon: £9 for six Bokwa fitness classes at Bokwa Central.
Getting bodies back into gear, Bokwa Central is a bastion of fitness, offering a selection of contemporary and traditional styles including Salsa, Zumba, and Bokwa. Pro instructors cater for all abilities and always keep the atmosphere as lively as the moves. With mobile workshops shuffling their way to private parties and corporate events, it's inevitable that eventually the rhythm is going to get you.
Participants will each attend six 60 minute Bokwa fitness classes with a highly experienced instructor. A style developed relatively recently, Bokwa uses letters and numbers alongside hand signals and American Sign Language to keep dancers in sync. Each session will include energetic moves adapted from fairly hefty melting pot of influences from South African war dance and capoeria to kickboxing and steps. Aiming to tone muscles, boost strength and endurance, the class offers an intense cardiovascular workout.
Class times:
Oldbury College of Sport, Pound Road (Off the Wolverhampton Road), Oldbury, B68 8NE (Mon 8pm-9pm)
Fitness First, 277-289 Hagley Road, Birmingham, B66 4AU (Fri 5pm-6pm)
Groupon Says
The Groupon Guide to Egg Hunting
The Easter egg hunt is a fixture in family calendars nationwide – a time to remember the key values that keep us together in times of need: love, affection, and a willingness to exclude the little one if it means everyone else gets more chocolate. Here’s how to do it well:
Know your enemy
The Easter Bunny is a wily beast, and it takes a lot to outsmart her. Put yourself in her shoes and try really hard to imagine where you’d hide eggs if you were a rabbit. After that, head straight to a burrow.
Don’t be picky
Eggers can’t be choosers, so round up everything from Scotch eggs and eggnog, to the poor people whose parents thought Egbert was a good name.
Know where to look
Never mind scrabbling around under ornaments and plant pots at home, for a really successful hunt be a little more canny. Raid the nearest Easter arts and crafts fair, or check the faces of recently disgraced politicians.
Ask permission before hunting on someone else’s land. Poaching an egg is an offence in some counties.
Trust no one
Especially children. If someone tells you they’ve already checked the bathroom and there’s nothing in there, it almost certainly means they’re guarding a secret hoard of eggs.
