The Executive chef at this restaurant showcased her culinary abilities on Channel 5’s Kitchen Wars in an attempt to impress famed restaurateur, Marco Pierre White. This architect of culinary flavour can normally be found in The Horseshoe Bar and Restaurant, concocting modern European cuisine or catering for grand banquets. The haven of contemporary dining has been decorated with deep wood furnishings and leather armchairs, while the alternative Chilli and Spice Restaurant serves North Indian favourites next door.
Preparing for three courses of culinary distinction, parties of two or four can tuck in to the starter menu which tempts appetites with dishes such as chicken liver pâté with beetroot and apricot chutney (£5.25), and lightly battered tiger prawns with spicy tomato salsa (£6.95). Moving onto main spreads, a large portion of moules-frites (£11.95) provides a classic French taste, while guests can also select a grilled fillet of Cornish sea bass (£12.95). The toothsome finale will round off taste tours, whether visitors plump for a dark chocolate truffle, or a New York cheesecake (both £4.50).
