G: Tell us more about the restaurant at the Harbour Heights Hotel. "The Harbar Bistro has been awarded two AA rosettes, and its chefs use seasonal, locally-sourced produce to freshly prepare many of the dishes. It also features a fresh fish counter with the day’s catches from Poole Quay. The restaurant’s policy is simple – if it’s not in season, then it’s not on the menu!”
G: There's also a bar – what’s that like? "The bar is stylish and modern, and comes with chic furnishings, a tropical fish tank, and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island. It is the ideal spot to sip on a cocktail or glass of wine, or enjoy a cup of coffee or a spot of afternoon tea. ”
G: What can be expected from the hotel’s afternoon tea? "Afternoon tea can be taken in the bar lounge, or – weather permitting – on the sea view terrace. The spread will begin with a sandwich and two slices of cake, and will be followed by homemade scones, clotted cream, and jam. Guests will also enjoy a glass of champagne each.”
Harbour Heights Hotel scored a tempting 4/5 on TripAdvisor, as well as 8.6/10 on Booking.com. Though the Afternoon Tea is still to be widely commented on, the food and staff both received high praise, while special mentions from several reviewers went to the hotel's location.
