Sizzling with subcontinental fare, Gurkha 2 is delicately garnished with traditional tandoori, balti, and madras dishes from across Nepal and India. The eastern menu is a hotpot of succulent cuts of chicken, lamb, and freshly-prepared seafood, all drizzled with authentic herbs and spices and accompanied by steaming bowls of basmati rice and freshly prepared breads.
The waterfall of flavours can cascade onto tastebuds with a starter each, including options such as the mixed meat platter with chicken tikka, sheek kebabs, and onion bhajis (£4.50) or the deep fried king prawns (£3.95). Flavours will continue trickling in with a tempting array of classic meaty and vegetarian main courses. Choices include the fragrant lamb korma with almonds, coconut cream, and ground spices (£5.50), the warm heat of the tandoori chicken, lamb, and prawn grill (£8.95), or the fiery king prawn jalfrezi with green chillies, peppers, and tomatoes (£7.95). Meals will sail onwards smoothly with a rice dish (up to £2.95), a side order, such as the saag aloo (£2.50) or a peshwari naan bread (£2.10), and a glass of house wine or beer each (up to £2.95).
Reviews
While yet to be widely reviewed, Gurkha2 received a taste bud tingling 5/5 from TripAdvisors, while Google users also made encouraging comments. Diners were keen to praise the attentive, efficient service and the quality of the food.
The food is lovely, and all their starters and mains are authentic and taste great. They also have a wide range of vegetarians [sic] dishes and tandooris.

The food was absolutely beautiful and cooked perfectly: lamb and chicken so tender it almost melted in your mouth. The service was attentive without being pushy, and the food arrived quickly.
