Although computer-savvy teenagers often take the credit, horses are better at hacking. Giddy-up with today's Groupon: £19 for two horse riding lessons, with a one hour assessment hack and a 30 minute follow-up lesson at Sweetlands Riding School.
Keeping their ten-strong herd of horses sweet with hay scented stables and a rigorous hand-brushing routine, the Sweetlands Riding School teaches riders of all abilities the art of a good horsemanship. Whether leading happy hackers out into the lush Dorset countryside, sending them leaping over jumps, or working on the trotting poles, the school conducts tailored lesson programmes to develop individual abilities. For more leisurely days in the saddle, the centre leads pub rides in the area, combining the fresh air of the great outdoors with the fine food of a traditional watering hole.
Total beginners or advanced centaurs can enjoy an hour of hacking through the rural reaches of Dorset while being assessed by instructors. Upon return to the centre, riders can arrange a further 30 minute lesson to develop technique. All equipment is provided, but the horses prefer riders to wear suitably heeled footwear.
With 5/5 stars, Sweetlands Riding School has impressed those that have left testimonials online despite having not been reviewed widely.
