Caves often hold ancient finds such as paleolithic paintings, extinct animal fossils, and long-forgotten odd socks . Pair up with old relics with today's Groupon: £24 for a one day family pass to visit Wookey Hole Caves.

Proving that grottos are for life, not just for Christmas, Wookey Hole Caves invites adventurous adults and children to have their attentions grabbed by millennia of history as well as a wealth of themed attractions. Newly restored and improved, Wookey provides a feast for eyes and senses of wonderment, encouraging voyagers to venture back 50,000 years when it is thought the caves were first inhabited by man. Imaginations can roam free with a whole host of adventurous attractions including the magical mirror maze, the Victorian penny arcade and life-size dinosaurs.

Prehistoric pioneers in groups of two adults and two children or one adult and three children can wander into the wild, meeting dastardly dinosaurs, bewitching witches and fantastical fairies along the way. Travellers can explore the ancient plentitude of caves as they blaze a trail around the hyena’s den, witch’s kitchen, witch's parlour and cathedral cave, before relaxing at the mill, in the on-site restaurant or while enjoying some cave-aged cheese.

Reviews
Wookey Hole Caves has dug out a great deal of customer reviews, the majority of which are encouraging. While some visitors had minor issues with the sites catering outlets, overall, write-ups are very positive, with visitors giving particular thumbs-up to the majestic caves and the circus attraction.
The cave tour and guide were fantastic - there were so many amazing facts to learn and amazing views to see inside. Afterwards, we could take so many funny and fun-filled pictures under the live size King Kong, dinosaurs and other wild animals. To add, there is a small museum to read upon some more interesting facts. Before leaving, you can enjoy a Hall of mirrors which was brilliant - trying to find your way out is harder than you think. There are so many arcade games and more activities to try before visiting the gift shop and grabbing a souvenir to remember a good day out. For the fun day I had, it was worth every penny! Wasn't too crowded either!

A great adventure with the kids, there is plenty to see in the caves with a tour guide and also around the centre. The caves are great and interesting, a good tour guide explains about the caves etc., although with a large group it is difficult to hear sometimes. But it’s great fun ducking under the rocks and walking on the uneven floor, at least its natural and not all man made walkways. Outside there are side shows, cafe and plenty of attractions.... really good day out and most of the attractions are indoors if the weather is poor.
