The Hotel
Nestled in among the verdant countryside that surrounds the idyllic spa town of Harrogate, The Hopper Lane Hotel is a recently-refurbished inn offering cosy stays and hearty meals. The hotel comes kitted out with a restaurant, bar and function room and makes creative use of local produce in compiling a comprehensive menu. Many original features are retained, with log fires and a stone well that has been craftily transformed into a grand glass-topped dining table.

Take advantage of the surrounding greenery by making tracks along the unspoiled Fewston Reservoir, just a ten minute walk from the hotel. This 3.7 mile walk takes enthusiastic feet past the varied flora and fauna surrounding the water, as well as the chirruping array of wildlife hanging out in trees and woods. For a less traditionally Yorkshire experience, make a relaxing trip to the Turkish Baths & Health Spa located in Harrogate. The ritualistic centre boasts steam rooms, plunge pools and hot room chambers all with an eagle eye to sorting stressed shoulders. Slightly further afield, Ripon Cathedral is a 30-minute drive from the hotel and is worth a visit for its towering stained glass windows and 14th century heritage.

Transport
Train: Menston train station is approximately 3 miles, or 10 minutes’ drive from the hotel and makes regular 18-minute connections to Leeds.
Road: Take the A660 north of Otley and onto the B6451, taking a left turn onto Skipton Road to arrive at the hotel. The hotel is also located west of the A1/M1, between Harrogate and Leeds.
