Three square meals a day are recommended for a healthy nutritional routine, but spherical snacks are often easier to swallow. Come full circle with today’s Groupon: £8 for Greek fare for two people at The Olive Tree.
Mashing chickpeas across three locations in suburban Leeds, The Olive Tree is an award-winning Greek restaurant that has been featured in the Good Food Guide for four years running. Whether soaking up the Victorian charm of the original Rodley restaurant, revelling in the modern, energetic vibe of the Headingley and Chapel Allerton branches, or even ordering for takeaway, diners will savour the flavours of the Mediterranean with the eateries’ luscious food and extensive wine list. Festivities reach their peak at the Rodley location on Friday and Saturday nights with bouzouki (Greek guitar) music and Greek dancing.
Peckish patrons can delve into mouth-watering Greek food from the à la carte menu. Guests can start off with a plate of mixed dips (£5.85), a medley of hummus, tsatziki, and taramosalata, served with warm pitta bread, or they might fancy the fresh chargrilled octopus (£6.95), marinated in olive oil, lime juice, and bay leaves. To follow, a popular Cyprian favourite is the lamb kleftiko (£14.95), a lamb joint slow-roasted in the oven with oregano and garlic. Those struggling to choose can order a meat, seafood, or vegetarian meze (£17.95-£18.95), a smorgasbord of the best picks from the menu, from calamari to chicken kebab and potato keftedes. For extra indulgence, patrons can sample the baklava (£4.95), a sweet pastry bursting with almonds and pistachios.

Reviews
The Olive Tree’s various branches received some appetising scores from TripAdvisors, such as 3.5/5 for Otley Road and Harrogate Road, while Rodley Lane was rated 3/5. Though some opinions varied at times, diners complimented the service and gave special mentions to the quality of the authentic Greek cuisine.
We have eaten at the olive tree [sic] numerous times and I can safely say that we have never been disappointed! Everything on the menu has been exceptional in particular the dips on the starters and the main course of lamb stuffed with feta and spinach is out of this world!

The staff were very good and service was quick even though most of us have something different the food all arrived at once. The choice of food is excellent and portions are of a good size.
