Though often confused with tapirs dining, Tapas dining rarely involves the wrapping of an extended prehensile proboscis around fresh leafy greens. Follow your nose with today's Groupon: £12.50 for five tapas dishes plus patatas bravas and a glass of sangria or soft drink each at Tapas Tree Restaurant.
Since opening its doors in 1996, Tapas Tree has blossomed into a popular eatery with a friendly fiesta atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from the traditional bar snacks served throughout Spain, the talented chefs serve up sharing plates of tasty meats, seafood and salad. Now under new ownership, the restaurant is decked out with a traditional wood panelled Spanish-style interior and also hosts evenings of live music and dance that are just as lively as the food.
Each diner can choose a starter and a main each from Tapas Tree's flavoursome menu, with meals accompanied by a serving of patatas bravas and a glass of sangria or soft drink each. Choices include calamares, battered squid rings, deep fried and served with lemon mayonnaise (£4.20), pollo con crème, cooked chicken strips mixed with cheese, mustard, thyme and cream (£4.20) or tomato and mozzarella salad dressed with olive oil and herbs (£4.20).

The staff were extremely friendly and were helpful in suggesting different dishes for us to try. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I will certainly be paying another visit soon.

The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was fabulous. I had a couple of items off the specials board that were to die for. Try the prawns in garlic, the fish stew and the raspberry cheesecake.
