This homely restaurant seats diners in traditional surroundings, with exposed brickwork and comfy armchairs aptly matched to classic British fare. Locally-sourced steaks and old favourites are plated up sizzling in warm olive oil and reclining on soft beds of roast onion mash, while a worldly wine list sees to sipping needs. Based in Halifax, Yorkshireman Restaurant is a fine dining spot lacking in pretensions but rich in sharp steak knives. 
Yorkshireman Restaurant's regularly changing set menu features the likes of deep fried Somerset brie served with home-made plum chutney, chicory, and celery and onion salad to start. Diners can wash down tasty fare with a glass of wine (£3.30) and settle into hearty mains. Went here with family, never been before but we will certainly go again. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the clam chowder for starters, it was superb, followed by the steak for my mains. I asked for well done and it came just as I like it, something that doesn't always happen when dining out.
