Those with a sweet tooth are often being described as the chocolate fountain of knowledge. Show them what it’s made of with today’s Groupon: £35 for two hour de-lux chocolate making workshop with truffles and Prosecco at Chocoholly.
Set up by a contemporary artist with a penchant for all things sugary, Chocoholly is a chocolate grotto where the sweet stuff is made by hand and with lots of care . This burgeoning business is up and coming in the cocoa world, with Harvey Nichols, Planet Organic and John Lewis food halls selecting them to supply all treats to all their UK stores. Specialising in a unique production of chocolate fish, the flavours go sea deep with combinations of chilli, cardamom and geranium dark milk, tasting particularly rich with their focus on organically-produced ingredients.
Those with a chocolatey sweet tooth can tantalise taste buds with chocolate from the other side of the world, tasting treats from Peru, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic. International tastes are then washed down with a glass of Prosecco and things move closer to home where guests can try bite-sized teasers of the tutor’s best-selling flavours in strawberry and chilli for example. Sticky fingers can then get stuck into learning how to make the basis for chocolate truffles with a ganache as well as learning how to whip up tasty cake fillings and a real deal hot chocolate. Once the base has been addressed, budding chocolatiers will tackle how to roll the truffles by hand and then dip them into tempered chocolates. Handy work is packed up in box with bows and recipes ready to be devoured at home after dinner.
