Belly dancing is not to be confused with jelly dancing, as although both involve a fair bit of wobble, only one should be conducted in the fridge. Keep things cool with today’s Groupon: £9 for a two-hour belly dancing workshop with Dakini Belly Dance.

Shimmying around as a member of the Mosaic Arabic Dance Network, the belly dancer behind Dakini Belly Dance shakes things up with a mix of classes and workshops. Flexing across Brighton and Hove, the Egyptian-style dance sessions are open to everyone and aim to please with a relaxed and friendly teaching style.

Donning loose-fitting clothing and kicking off the shoes, or swapping bare feet for ballet pumps, belly dancers can be guided through a series of core moves in the two-hour workshop. The class is designed for beginners and is available with romantic veils at the Preston Park location to mix things up. Moves learnt will be put together in a short routine and the session will end with a cool down and stretch.
