A good meal is like a bedtime story: relaxing, great for sharing, and ideal without snores mid-way through. Enjoy dream-worthy dining with today’s Groupon: £29.50 for a steak dinner for two with dessert and a glass of wine each at The Rainbow Inn.

Beguiling the hungry with a menu crafted by Michelin star-awarded Marco Pierre White, this restaurant blends sleek modernity and historic decadence to set an appetising scene. Intricate lace table cloths and open fireplaces are indicative of 200 years of history, and provide temporary distraction from a creative list of dishes. Fresh fish and hearty grills line the menu, which hosts a wholesome combination of British classics and innovative takes on European flavours.

From within the cottage-like exterior of this eatery, customers can tickle taste buds with a grilled 10oz rib eye steak of Scottish beef, along with a Jus Gras and triple cooked chips (£24.50). There is also a fish pie or vegetarian option available for diners with alternative tastes in mind. Visitors can continue with a choice of desserts including box tree Eton Mess or Cambridge burnt cream (all £7.50), before washing down flavours in style with a glass of red or white wine (£3).

Reviews
The Rainbow Inn received a tasty 3.5/5 from TripAdvisors users, while the eatery was given 5/5 from reviews on Google and Yelp users. Though there were some mixed opinions on the décor, many diners praised the quality of the dishes on the menu.

We were well received, the surroundings agreeable and as soon as I saw the menu I knew that this is a 'foodie' place. We all chose the Sunday roast beef dish and it was very good indeed.

The new decor may not be to everyone's taste but it's warm and inviting. As for the food - excellent choices on the menu and everything we ordered were decent/generous portions and well cooked.
