Serving golden stone-baked pizzas in a flagstone courtyard, Solo Pizza combines classic Georgian style with contemporary Italian cuisine. Set in the centre of Bath, Solo uses only the freshest ingredients to create the intense flavours of its menu, from softly crumbled goats’ cheese to the peppery tingle of a rocket salad.

Watching the bubbles twist and glint in a glass of Prosecco should not distract two or four diners from choosing from a range of starters, which include shredded, slow-roasted ham hock with orange and radiochio salad (£5.95) and home-made ravioli filled with butternut squash with a lemon butter sauce (£6.95). The main course could involve confit duck leg with braised cabbage, chive mash, and cranberry sauce (£13.95), or a pizza topped with goats’ cheese, caramelised red onions, rocket, and parmesan (£8.95). Steaks and scallops can be ordered for a supplement.

If you like a quick good pizza at a reasonable price, give it a go. Friendly, nice service. Overall very good.

The atmosphere was very relaxed and we were made to feel very welcome. We opted for pasta dishes and were not disappointed. The food was piping hot, delicious, and there was an excellent choice available on the menu. If you want somewhere to dine in Bath with something to suit all tastes, then I would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely little place. Definitely well worth the visit.
