Touching the skies is a sick trick on the slopes, but can be problematic when confused with touching the skis. Aim higher with today's Groupon: £19 for 90 minutes of dry slope skiing or snowboarding, plus 60 minutes of archery, air rifle shooting, or mountain boarding from Avon Ski & Action Centre.
Keeping winter sports on the slopes all year round, Avon Ski & Action Centre pumps up the adrenaline with a daredevilish array of skiing, climbing, archery and more. A 165 metre dry slope is served by a button drag lift, and a whole bunch of boots, skis and snowboards is kept waiting in the wings. A mountain boarding dirt track, power kiting field, and climbing and abseiling ascent also boost the action, while the Café Boots Bar offers a space to rest with stunning views of the Mendip Hills. 
Kitting up groups of ten at a time, the instructor will lead skiers or boarders on to the dry slope, helping newbies earn their poles and allowing seasoned sportsmen to perfect their technique in a 90 minute session. Bends, moguls, bumps, and jumps can be navigated, and the quarter-pipe gives pros a chance to catch some air. The action day will continue with a further 60 minutes of activity chosen from three options. Sharp shooters can aim for the target with an air rifle or archery session, or more board-bound steering can take place on land with an hour of mountain boarding.
