Backed by a 200 year history, Bath Racecourse is the highest in Britain, enabling patrons to feast hungry eyes on a platter of stunning vistas across the elegant city. Often used by new celebrities in the equine world and their trainers, Bath is the only course in Britain not to have a watering system, ensuring a consistent all-year ground for renowned series of thrilling races. All members of the family are welcome and catered for with a wide range of facilities including a small playground, two fine dining restaurants, fast food outlets and a picnic area.
An afternoon can be spent on one of three race days celebrating the racecourse's 200th birthday, with all options featuring access to the premier enclosure. Here, the best views across the finishing post can put patrons at the beating heart of the action. Entertainment and live Irish music can be enjoyed on Irish Race Day on Sat 10 Sep 2011, while another day of action can be discovered on 26 Sep 2011. The season finale on 16 Oct 2011 will have an Oktoberfest theme, featuring continental beers and aided by a lively Oompa band. Amid flashes of horses and cheers of passion, two premier bars can be sampled, serving up an array of delectable food, drinks, locally brewed ale, and sugar cube treats.
