About the Micro Bangers and Destruction Derby Day
Testing driving potential with an afternoon of last-moment swerves and crucial overtaking, the Micro Massacre day features the national bangers competition, pitting cars up to 1200cc up against each other through the demanding Mendip course. Also on the cards are the junior rods and hot rods races, where up-and-coming wheel-turners strive to prove their talents and get one over the competition, putting the pedal to the metal on the demanding and relentless track.
About Mendip Raceways
First feeling the wind in its hair 43 years ago, Mendips Raceway is a destination of choice for petrol heads with regular displays of blurry-eyed acceleration and tricky hairpin turns. Stock car, banger, and traditional races all take place on the testing tarmac, with raised spectator banking offering a prime view of unplanned collisions and impressive handbrake skids. The track also features pit sections for up to 100 vehicles, downhill slopes, and refreshment areas for hungry pedal pushers.
