About the event
An historic stage in the heart of the city, the Bristol Hippodrome will be sent back to 1963 with the toe-tapping and skirt-swirling production of ‘Save the Last Dance for Me.’ Produced by the same sparkling team as ‘Dreamboats and Petticoats,’ this musical tells the tale of two teenage sisters spending the summer at the seaside and the complicated holiday romance that ensues. Scored by the nostalgic hits of Doc Pomus and Mort Sherman including ‘Save the Last Dance For Me’ and ‘Little Sister,’ the play is directed by West End veterans Bill Kenwright & Keith Strachan.

About the venue
Opening its curtains for the first time in 1912, The Bristol Hippodrome has seen a century of high-kicking musical performances. Listed as a Grade II building, the theatre’s impressive stone façade was originally designed by renowned Victorian theatrical architect Frank Matcham and has hosted the British premiere of musicals including ‘Guys and Dolls’. The theatre’s deluxe bars and restaurant dish up cocktails and pre-theatre meals for sophisticated customers, while wheelchair access and hearing aids ensure availability to all art-lovers.
