Scoring sweet hat-tricks as a result of a one-two between Cambridge City FC Development Centre and 1st Step Sports, the team of seasoned pros train young people in various skills including possession football, close control, and creative play. During the school holidays, the sporting business provides courses, lessons, and camps to kick-start kids into a fun and healthy lifestyle, along with providing ample opportunity to meet new friends. Setting goals high, the organisation also plays host to sporting kids parties, putting the icing on the cake with prizes and medals at the ready.
Football crazy boys and girls aged between 5 and 15 can lace up their boots for a development course lasting one, two, or three days. Each day runs from 9am-3pm, and involves drills, skills workshops, and matches, with the two and three day courses also featuring other sporting sessions including dodgeball, tennis and cricket. The sessions are built on an ethos of making sports fun, and players will be taught to express themselves through their creative and technical prowess. Outdoor and indoor facilities are available for when the sun hasn’t got a hat on. Scouts will have their wizened eyes on the lookout, with twinkle-toed stars possibly being invited to attend the Cambridge City F.C Development Centre.
