Basking in the sun's rays, pairs of picnickers can pick up a white or brown sandwich or baguette, and stuff it with a filling of their choice. Fillings include smoked chicken, bacon and cheese (up to £3.35), brie, tomato, spinach, and black olive tapenada (up to £3.35), and goats' cheese, pesto and roast vegetables (up to £3.45). A garden salad will provide a healthy green backdrop to chewers’ choice of apple, banana, or orangey fruity goodness. Picnics, which can be taken on Cambridge's Parker's Piece or any other picturesque spot, will also include a bottle of water each.
