While enriched with waters, woodlands, and wildlife, this scenic course attracts players nationwide with signature holes that include a par 3 voted most difficult in England. It located close to Huntingdon, two minutes from the A1 and A14, and is accompanied by roaming geese, swans, and deer, while the 16th hole has been become known as Badger Alley.
Gaggles in twos or fours can tee off to settle old rivalries and ignite fresh ones on this 18-hole course. Shots will be played while immersed in the rural ambiance, while a bacon roll and tea or coffee will provide fuel for the sport.
Reviews
Brampton Park has received a plentiful amount of positive reviews, and Golf Shakers award the club a glowing 4/5 stars. Whilst players note the course is difficult for those with high handicaps, on the whole visitors appreciated the course’s challenging nature, variety of holes and tricky hazards.
I have played Brampton a few times and the course is stunning and is generally kept in very good condition (last played at the start of April). As other reviews have said, a number of holes are challenging and you have to keep a level head, as you have to be playing very well to finish with the same ball you start with! I would however recommend a round, but buy a shot save guide to show you where the water is thus saving you the disappointment of finding it with a slightly offline drive.
