Treating children old and young with the opportunity to get up and close with all types of four legged friends, Shepreth Wildlife Park started as a private animal sanctuary in 1979. Opening to the public in 1984, the park now allows mammal watchers to delight in the big cat house, home to lynx, tigers and mountain lions, as well as a monkey house and the chance to hand feed ponies, ducks and much more.
Animal lovers can come face to face with their furry chums with a trip for two or four to the wildlife park. With admission to the adventure playground and playbarn included for kids, nature seekers can head to the tropical house and feast their eyes on the lizards and snakes, before hand feeding the carps in the lake. Little ones can head to the playground to dig around in the sandpit, swing around the carousel and zipwire across the play area, all whilse the grown-ups recharge their batteries nearby and in full view.
