A good curry is like an exotic holiday: full of vibrant colours, bold tastes, and best without hoards of slow-walking tourists. Enjoy flight-worthy flavours with today’s Groupon: £19 for two courses of Indian cuisine for two with side dish and tea or coffee at Blue Garlic.
Delighting diners with subtle flavours and fiery spice-laden treats, the team of chefs at Blue Garlic plates up a wealth of tastes forged on Indian shores. The restaurant pleases palates with fresh catches, an array of vegetarian options, and sumptuous cuts of meat, served alongside steaming rice, poppadoms, and freshly-baked naan bread.
Peckish pairings can rest legs inside the restaurant’s elegant interior, first sinking teeth into a choice of starter that includes onion bhaji (£2.50), shimla mirch (£3.25), and king prawn raja pati (£5.50). Tongues will then be tingled with an extensive choice of mains such as chicken tikka masala (£6.50), lamb passanda (£7.15), and balti Lahore (£6.50), complemented by a side dish of rice, naan bread, and a steaming cup of tea or coffee.
Reviews
While yet to be widely reviewed, Blue Garlic receives some fine write-ups from TripAdvisors. Although some guests found decor old fashioned, reviewers are keen to praise the presentation, taste, and authenticity of dishes, as well as the friendly personnel.
The best ever curry I had in years, went there last weekend on recommendation for the first time. The service was great nice smart freindly staffs. They were quite busy for a Sunday. The haryali starter is just great so tasty and the main I had was chi rezala, delicious! At the price is so less than other restaurants. Me n my partner two four course meal papadams and chutneys, 3 pints only 28 pounds - bargain. Will recommend to everyone wat else can I say. Keep it up [sic].
