The luxury dining experience is a concept that was originally conceived in Havana by Cuban cuisine extraordinaire, Fidel Gastro. Dictate the fate of your stomach with today's Groupon: £26 instead of up to £65.80 for three-course meal for two at The Farmer’s Daughter.
While three blind mice pursued a farmer’s wife, a milking parlour stood empty on a working farm in Bassaleg. Four centuries years later, it became home to what is now known as The Farmer’s Daughter, and its oak beams, nooks and crannies tell stories of years gone by, while providing a quaint backdrop for this homely, à la carte restaurant. As the keys of an old baby grand piano tinkle in the background, diners at The Farmer’s Daughter can observe a spectacular photographic display of well-known faces on the walls, many of whom preceded them in enjoying the culinary delights on offer.
Romantics, sentimentalists and food buffs alike are invited to become a part of this legacy with today’s Groupon. At The Farmer’s Daughter, the table you book is yours for the night, giving you the opportunity to peruse the mouthwatering menu at leisure. Concocted using the freshest ingredients (locally-sourced where possible) options include 14 different exotic meats such as camel and crocodile. More traditionally inclined taste buds, however, can look forward to starter options such as grilled slices of halloumi with rocket and a houmous dip (£4.95) and mains including Welsh 10oz Fillet, cooked to taste and served with a sauce of your choice (£21.95). A selection of enticing dessert options is also available for those seeking a sweet finale.

The food was very tasty, could taste fresh ingredients and the selection was varied and all seemed very good. We enjoyed our first visit and plan to visit again for sure.

We had trouble locating the restaurant but it was worth the drive. my partner had wilberbeest [sic] and a piece of Impala, both were succulent and served with a creamy garlic sauce. Try it if you can, you won't be disappointed it was mouthwateringly good.
