Known for its thick bass and crisp lyrics, there's nothing catchier than the hip boppadom. Get in the groove with today's Groupon: £18 for a two course Indian meal with sides, rice, and coffee for two at
Jamuna Indian Restaurant.
This traditional and gastronomically inspired Indian restaurant was a nominee in the ‘Best Restaurant’ category in the 2010 Ethical Good Food Awards. The contemporary yet easy-going surroundings are spiced up by an open-plan kitchen, so diners can see and hear their food frying, roasting, and bubbling towards readiness. The dining room is softly spot-lit with deep red walls and wood floors.
Diners can tackle Himalayan hungers with any meat, poultry or vegetarian starter, main and side with rice each. Starters include the aloo chat (£2.95), a melange of lightly curried vegetables and potatoes, or the chicken puree (£3.95) marinated and placed in a light fluffy roti. The main event could involve a classic masala or korma, or it could take a more adventurous route to the Korahi chicken (£8.45) or Bengal Shai (£8.45). Guests can also treat themselves to any vegetable side dish and rice, and have the option to upgrade to the fish menu for a £3 supplement each. Coffee will then be served to battle the post-feast slump.
