Waking up with dewy eyelids, mossy shoulders and a hedgehog under the right knee are all symptoms of sleeping like a log. Get a better night's sleep with today's Groupon: £119 for a two night boutique hotel break for two with a glass of prosecco each on arrival and breakfast daily at Llys Meddyg Restaurant & Rooms.

A grade two listed Georgian townhouse sheltered by the shadow of the Mountain of the Angels, Llys Meddyg combines cosmopolitan fine dining with wild rural charm. Individually designed rooms are hung with the works of local artists, beds are dressed in high thread count Egyptian cotton and covered with deep down duvets, and the bathrooms boast monsoon showers and double ended baths. The dining room wears two AA rosettes and serves a delectable array of dishes prepared with local, seasonal ingredients while the slate floor and heavy wood tables of the Cellar Bar are warmed in the light cast by blazing inglenooks.

Guests can celebrate their arrival in Pembrokeshire with a glass of Prosecco, before settling in to their room and making a plan for their stay. If guests choose to dine in the restaurant, they can enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine up to the value of £17.50, before retiring to warm embrace of the duvet. Rising to the soft burble of a wood pigeon in the dawn, guests can skip down to a full Welsh breakfast before heading out to explore the beaches, rivers, woods and mountains of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Reviews
Many have come to Llys Meddyg for the delicious food, but stayed for the warm atmosphere and cosy rooms. Critics have been overwhelmingly positive in their reviews, as The Independent found the locally sourced food worth the travel, while The Guardian named Llys Meddyg as one of the 20 best hotels to discover in Britain. Former guests were also positive, awarded the Welsh hotel an encouraging 3.5/5 stars on TripAdvisor.
…one of the finest places to eat in Wales. The downstairs restaurant serves up locally sourced dishes such as rabbit sausage with black pudding and creamed potatoes, and seared grey mullet with Newport Bay crab risotto; while the eight upstairs rooms, with their stylish combination of antique furnishings, original artwork and ultra-modern boutique touches, provide the perfect environment in which to doze after all that calorie-consumption.

Our room was very well kitted out, and don't think I've ever slept in such a comfortable bed. The place was lovely but we usually find when we go away that it's the people that make it, and that was definitely the case here. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt cared for without being hassled. Newport itself is great little town, perfect for a get away from it all weekend…
