Dance comes to life at this family-run academy, where shapes have been cut, energies channelled, and champions trained for the last 25 years. Located in wooded grounds 30 minutes from Cardiff, the centre showcases an array of dance styles from old school rock ‘n’ roll jiving to the latest street and freestyle moves. All of their classes are led by an experienced hot stepper, with groups composed according to age and experience.
Six degrees of step-aration stand between youngsters aged 8-16 and dance floor prowess. The centre’s classes for children all follow the International Dance Teachers Association's graded syllabus, and cater to a range of ability levels from the complete beginner to the seasoned spinner. During each one hour session, budding dancers can learn how to hot step some Latin moves, pop and slide with street and freestyle, or twist the night away with some rock ‘n’ roll moves.
