Coming up to its fifth successful year, the Newport International Film Festival has the full support of the Film Festival Guild, which encompasses five global film festivals as well as a reel of award ceremonies. The Film Festival Guild first set the scene in 2006 to showcase talented new directors and writers, and to provide a secure and reputable platform for budding filmmakers to launch creative careers. With the help of a dedicated team, the guild aims to build strong relationships with movie-makers by keeping them completely informed at every stage of the festival, from entry through to lights down.

With a medley including a feature length drama, student-made short films, a gruesome zombie horror, and informative documentary, two film-lovers will have all tastes tickled with the movie-filled day out.
