The emerald slopes of Swansea Valley and silt inclines of Black Mountain have long made a spectacular backdrop to the challenging par 72 course at Palleg and Swansea Valley Golf Course, nestled cosily at the foot of Brecon Beacons National Park since 1930. A warm and welcoming clubhouse provides a spot of rest and relaxation before or after teeing off, while further needs might be addressed by the onsite pro shop or lessons from the resident PGA golf pro.
A pair of prospective pros can dress the part for a full day's golf and head out onto the 5902 yard course from as early as 8am. The tree lined course demands the complete focus of players of all levels, with some unforgiving rough waiting to gobble up any stray shots. All the action will be fuelled with either a soup with a roll, or a bacon roll.
