Having soared into being in 1859, The Falcondale is a stately, Italian-style villa nestled in 14 acres of gardens and woodland in the heart of the rolling Welsh countryside. Walking, cycling, and fishing are among the favourite local pastimes, and the picturesque coastal villages of Cardigan Bay and the foothills of the Cambrian mountains are only a drive away. The restaurant, awarded two AA rosettes for five years running, serves seasonal, locally-sourced food where possible, with vegetables from its own kitchen gardens, as well as seafood, speciality cheeses, and cured hams from across the region.

Weary wayfarers swooping into the The Falcondale will be welcomed with a glass of Prosecco each after gliding through the doors. Upon the eve, guests can indulge themselves in the seven course gourmet tasting menu, a culinary experience that will delight many a discerning palate with its array of petite edibles from the acclaimed kitchen. The feast will be followed by a sleepy snooze fest between soft sheets, in a room overlooking the impressive house's grounds. Birdsong should be enough to sound the alarm bells for breakfast, served up fresh each morning for rural ramblers and lazy boys and girls at leisure alike.

Reviews
The hotel has received a large amount of praise for the quality of the experience it offers, from the cosy rooms to the delicious dinner menu. 129 TripAdvisor users awarded The Falcondale a high-flying 4.5/5 stars.
The owner and hotel staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. All the creature comforts had been thoughtfully included and the food was excellent. The countryside is beautiful with miles of stunning scenery to enjoy - this is a rural break rather than a shopping oppurtunity! As seasoned travellers, we would both recommend a visit.

Just spent two nights here and the staff could not of been any more attentive all round without being overbearing. This really is a well kept and well run establishment. The age and character of the hotel is quite fascinating, along with the spectacular views from the conservatory in particular, even in November. We had the 7 course taster menu on the first night and everything about it was delicious, the beef just melted in the mouth and if you ever needed incentive to get out of your bed it was to rush downstairs for the superb and well presented breakfast each morning.
