As well as being useful cooking apparatus, hot rocks are also really attractive stones. Enjoy food well done with today's Groupon from Stonehouse Bistro. Choose from the following options:
• £20 for two courses of hot rock cuisine for two plus an appetiser (Up to 61% off)• £39 for two courses of hot rock cuisine for four plus appetisers (Up to 62% off)
Part of the Serenity complex, a facility promoting wellbeing with the Girls Alive Fitness centre, Sanctuary for beauty treatments, and Café Retreat’s gluten-free light lunches, the Stonehouse Bistro does its share to foster healthy eating. The principal attraction is the Black Rock Grill experience, whereby food is cooked to perfection without oil or fat by the customers themselves. For those who don’t want to don the chef’s hat, there are other lip-smacking dishes on the menu, ranging from stone baked pizzas, to spicy chicken nachos, and dribble-inducing desserts.
Groups of two or four will get their stake in the grill grub with a two course meal. But before that even unfolds, guests will be greeted upon arrival with an appetiser of Shrewsbury Bakehouse bread with oil and balsamic vinegar (£5.95) to share between two. For starters, diners might claw away at Thai crab cakes and tomato chilli jam (£6.50), before moving on to the pièce de résistance, the tuna fillet steak (£15.95), a hot rock specialty. Chefs for the night will take charge of the 440°C grill, placed at the table for the fish to cook on while patrons munch away.
