Birds of prey often hold talon competitions, in which routines such as synchronised diving and beak dancing are met with raptor-ous applause. Flock together with today’s Groupon: £29 for a two hour falconry experience with refreshments, plus one hour red kite handling at Raptor Experience Wales
Nestled within countryside boasting spectacular views of the Cambrian Mountains, Raptor Experience Wales provide a sanctuary for an array of feathered friends. Owls, falcons, eagles and hawks collaborate with trainers, demonstrating bird of prey behaviour and raw predatory aeronautical skill. Taking patrons under their wing, the trainers teach guests about the interconnectedness of nature conservation, tourism, and wildlife, while offering exciting and memorable avian experiences.
Predatory interests can be answered with a two hour falconry experience in which visitors will be supervised while handling and flying the centre's remarkable residents. A flying demonstration and information on the birds will be provided for avid avian appreciators, and tea, coffee, or a soft drink will accompany the experience. Bird watchers will then move out into the nearby mountains for a red kite handling experience: with no strings attached, these kites dip and soar as hearts and entranced eyes follow them. Throughout, guests will learn about specialised training techniques, as well as the personalities, species, and survival strategies of the birds in the wild.
