About Dental Implants
Dental implants include crowns, bridges, or bonded dentures and consist of a titanium screw being fitted into the jaw to keep the replacement implant tooth or teeth firmly in position, and ensure they know their place. Firstly, the small screw will be fitted into the jaw, and will fuse with the bone over a healing period and act as an imitative root. Once the restorative period is over, customers will return to the dental surgery to have the replacement tooth or teeth fitted, in the form of a crown, bridge, or denture. The dentist should advise each client on proper aftercare advice and instructions for care at home. With proper care and attention a dental implant could last as long as a real tooth.

The Session
A dental consultation (£35) will assess suitability and include any X-rays necessary (£25), after which an impression (£50) will be taken and a dental plan explained (£50). A further implant assessment (£50) and treatment plan (£100) will follow, and the procedure to fit the implant (£790), healing screw (£280) and titanium abutment (£200) will last around 90 minutes. Once the porcelain is fused to the metal crown (£390), a final dental check-up (£35) will ensure the treatment has been a success and patrons will be invited back for a review at two weeks and three months.
