The Hotel
Sprinkled with log burning fires lit in the winter months and a patio decking area for alfresco tipples in warmer times, the 19th century manor is a richly furnished hotel catering for all types of breaks. The restored home is family-run and overlooks stunning views over the Llangollen countryside of babbling brooks and a charming steam railway. Food in the fine dining restaurant is locally sourced where possible and a bar offers space to relax. Free Wi-Fi can be enjoyed in public areas, while the river and stately gardens make for a beautiful photography back drop. 
The Stay
Guests can settle down for two nights in a standard double room with sweeping views of the gloriously green landscape from the stately windows. Awash with warm colours, the room features a wide screen TV with satellite channels, 24 hour room service, and complimentary tea and coffee facilities to quench thirst at any time of the day. The en suite is complete with a bath tub and shower, and guests can wake up to a continental breakfast each morning, or upgrade to a full Welsh plate for a supplementary charge.

Dipping its toes on the River Dee, the hotel is perfectly positioned for a spot of fishing, with the hotel supplying free equipment on request, or white water rafting excursions for the adrenaline seekers. Dinas Bran Castle provides a spot of sightseeing for photographers on top of a steep hill and was once rumoured to be one of the possible burial sites of the Holy Grail. More sights can be seen from the carboniferous limestone walks of The Panorama from Worlds End to Eglwyseg, which attracts walkers and rock climbers alike. 
Transport
Trains:
Ruabon rail station is 8 miles from the hotel and has direct trains to Chester and Birmingham, which have connections to much of the UK.
Road:
The hotel is located near the A5.

Most of the fishing in and around Llangollen Town is owned by Llangollen Angling Association and permits can be hard to come by, so its best to stick by the hotel, which has special rights to issue quests.

The White Waters Country Hotel glides effortlessly with a 3/5 rating from TripAdvisors and 8.7/10 from Booking.com guests. Visitors complimented the welcoming staff, its scenery, and the comedy stylings of Alfie, the hotel’s parrot. There are slightly mixed reviews regarding the evening meals.
Outstanding and exceeded all of our expectations. The staff & management could not do enough for us. Such a friendly atmosphere and very welcoming.
