Part 19th century Victorian country house, part modern adaptation, the Mercure Kidderminster Hotel resides in 20 acres of countryside. An indoor heated pool provides plenty a splashing, while the floodlit tennis courts outside keep the leisure ball in their court. The fitness centre is also kitted out with state-of-the-art equipment along with a sauna and solarium for some wind-down time. Exposed brickwork and leather chairs and sofas make for a relaxed atmosphere in the Brassiere bar and restaurant, while room service is available for 24 hour snacking.

Visit the spots and stripes of the nearby West Midland Safari Park, which, although within walking distance from the hotel, requires a car to drive through the exotic animal trails. Straying into Kidderminster itself, the heritage steam railway station is home to a number of traditional locomotives, some still in operation, while the quaint banks of Bewdley offer spots to take in the majesty of the Severn.

Booked this hotel for a night away with my wife to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Booking in process polite and friendly, the room was well equipped clean and spacious… Evening meal in the restaurant was relaxed and pleasant, food was of a high standard. We had a great time and would have no issue recommending, or visiting again.
