From the humble beginnings of a small diving retail shop in Cannock, Scuba + Outdoor Pursuits Centrer has grown to become one of the UK's largest and leading scuba centres, offering training, equipment, and experiences at all of their three stores across the Midlands. Rated as a five star PADI Instructor Development Centre, a full range of approved courses are offered for all, from nautical novices to high sea hipsters.
The course covers all the diving essentials with students learning about water entry, equipment assembly, buoyancy skills, and emergency procedures. A log book, dive planner table, and PADI Open Water Diver Manual will be provided so relevant information can be studied and completed before its practical application in session. Each session will take place one evening a week over three consecutive weeks and features a one hour theory session, pre and post-water briefings, and a whole hour in-water training. Aqua pura addicts will also have the chance to take two open water lake dives on a Saturday (£15 site entry not included). Once these are completed and divers are no longer wet behind the ears, water babies can get their final PADI certification for a fee of £34.99.
